The college planning and application process can be quite overwhelming. Deciding how and where to spend your time and resources can be confusing.
How do you navigate the smartest path forward and make the most of this important life journey?
At Big Sky College Planning, we do a lot of that hard work for you. We collaborate with students and give them the tools they need to manage their own college process. Our customized college plans guide each student, setting deadlines for college applications and providing feedback to their essays. We empower you to think creatively, write thoughtfully, and turn in your applications on time, or even ahead of schedule.
We also know that achieving your personal best on the SAT and the ACT takes lots of practice and patience. Tests aren’t always easy, especially when you’re being timed. We’re here to help and can match you with an ACT and SAT test preparation coach, so you’ll feel more confident and more prepared for standardized testing.
How we work
We’re a roll up-your-sleeves, collaborative group. We focus on the important stuff like research and identification, brainstorming, writing, and organization. But what makes us different is that we make it fun. Sure, our process is important now, but you’ll also be learning a set of life skills you’ll need later on.
You’ll have access to our collaborative project platform to communicate with us and keep things organized. You’ll be able to use some of our fantastic apps to determine what’s important to you and how your values match up with offerings at particular schools.
You’ll learn to follow a project plan, manage details and deadlines. We’ll help you be strategic and determine what makes you unique, and how you can contribute to and benefit from your very own college experience.

Whether you’re applying to college, starting graduate school or finding a job you love, we’ll help you make the right decisions about your future and stay on track with fulfilling your hopes and dreams.
How we help
During your senior year of high school, you may be accepted early to the college of your dreams. You’re excited and relieved that you’re already in and can kind of coast through the rest of senior year. But then 18 months later, you realize your dream school isn’t a great fit after all. Or you might not find your way into one of your top schools and be forced to rethink your options.
We’re here to help you through these challenges, teach you how to move forward when your path suddenly changes, and work toward an alternative route to success and path to happiness.
